MRS. FLAX
Hello Maxime, please sit down- we’ll do the interview here in my office.

MAXIME

MRS. FLAX
So I’ve looked over your resume and everything looks pretty impressive! I just have a question about one thing- it says here at the very bottom that you “invented chess”?

MAXIME
Yes.

MRS. FLAX
Can you please elaborate on that?

MAXIME
Sure! I invented the game of chess, you may have heard of it before. There are 16 pieces on a board, and-

MRS. FLAX
I know what chess is.

MAXIME
Oh! That’s great to hear. It’s nice to know the game is making its way around.

MRS. FLAX
It’s probably the most popular board game in the world.

MAXIME
Oh, well I wouldn’t say that, jeez, you’re making me blush, but, thank you. Thank you very much.
